Privacy Policy
Effective Date: [DATE] | Last Updated: March 28, 2026
At Atlas Divisions, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We've written this in plain English because you shouldn't need a law degree to understand how your data is handled.
1. What We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
Information you give us directly:
- Your name, email address, and phone number when you create an account
- Your business name and trade type
- Payment information (credit/debit card) — processed and stored by Stripe, not by us
- Any business data you enter into your dashboard: customer records, job details, invoices, estimates, notes, photos, etc.
Information collected automatically:
- Basic usage data: when you log in, which features you use, and general platform activity
- Technical information: browser type, device type, and IP address (for security and troubleshooting)
2. How We Use It
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the service: Run your dashboard, store your data, and deliver the features you're paying for
- Process billing: Charge your subscription through Stripe and manage your account
- Communicate with you: Send account-related emails (welcome emails, trial reminders, billing receipts, important updates)
- Provide support: Help you when you reach out with questions or issues
- Improve the product: Understand which features are used most so we can make the platform better
3. What We Don't Do
Let's be very clear about this:
- We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. Period.
- We don't share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes
- We don't use your business data (customer lists, job records, invoices) for anything other than providing you the service
- We don't run ads on our platform and we don't serve you targeted advertising
4. Data Storage
- Each Atlas Divisions account gets its own isolated database — your data is completely separated from other customers' data
- Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's network, with data stored in the United States
- We use per-tenant SQLite databases, meaning your data isn't mixed in with anyone else's
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Your data is kept as long as your account is active
- After cancellation: We retain your data for 30 days after you cancel, in case you change your mind or need to export anything
- After 30 days: Your data is permanently deleted from our systems
- Billing records: Basic billing/transaction records may be retained longer as required by tax and accounting laws
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data: You can view all your data through your dashboard at any time
- Export your data: You can export your data from the platform whenever you want
- Request deletion: You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time
- Correct inaccurate data: If something's wrong, you can update it yourself in the dashboard or ask us to fix it
To exercise any of these rights, email us at harley@atlasdivisions.com.
7. Cookies
We keep cookies simple:
- Session cookies: Used to keep you logged in while you use the platform. These are essential for the service to work
- No tracking cookies: We don't use cookies to track you across the web
- No analytics cookies: We don't use Google Analytics or similar third-party tracking tools
- No advertising cookies: We don't serve ads, so there are no ad-related cookies
8. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate Atlas Divisions:
- Stripe — Processes all payments. Stripe has its own privacy policy. We send Stripe your name, email, and payment details to process your subscription
- Cloudflare — Hosts our platform and provides CDN/security services. Cloudflare may process your IP address and basic request data as part of delivering the service
- Square (optional) — If you choose to connect a Square integration for point-of-sale features, data will be shared between Atlas Divisions and your Square account per Square's privacy policy
- Google Calendar (optional) — If you choose to sync your calendar, scheduling data will be shared with Google per their privacy policy
We only share the minimum data necessary with each service for them to do their job.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data:
- Encryption in transit: All data sent between your browser and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS
- Isolated databases: Each customer's data lives in its own separate database
- Access controls: Only authorized personnel can access the platform's infrastructure
- Secure payments: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified
No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. But we take it seriously and work to protect your information.
10. Children
Atlas Divisions is a business tool designed for trade professionals. Our platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we'll remove it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:
- We'll notify you at least 30 days before the changes take effect via the email on your account
- The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date
- Continued use of the platform after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy
